Up to 18.5 MEuro for international scientific research !

On 27 April 2001, INTAS officially opens its Open Call 2001, with an
indicative budget of 15 MEuro, for the submission of joint research
projects and networks related to the following scientific fields:
? condensed matter, plasma, radio and material physics, optics and
quantum electronics
? life sciences (general & molecular biology, microbiology and cytology,
physiology, biochemistry & biotechnology, biophysics, genetics &
? earth sciences (geology, geochemistry, geophysics, hydrology,
atmospheric physics, environment and energy).

On the same day, INTAS launches two new Thematic Calls, each with an
indicative budget of 1.75 MEuro, and welcomes scientists to submit
international and interdisciplinary proposals covering, firstly,
research into new approaches to clean the environment and prevent
pollution, and secondly addressing various fields of nano-technology
allowing direct manipulation of particles down to the atomic level.

Guidelines for scientists on the submission procedure are included in an
Information Package that can be downloaded from the INTAS web site, or
requested from the INTAS office. Although proposals can be submitted by
post, INTAS encourages scientists to use the INTAS Internet submission
procedure. Proposals must be submitted to INTAS before or at the latest
on 28 September 2001, 12H00 Brussels time.
